Grand Geneva Say “I Do” Photo Contest – Melissa & Chris – Continued Memories

Melissa and Chris were married at the Grand Geneva Resort 2007. They wanted a winter wedding at a location that their guests could use as a mini vacation.

Here is their story and photo submission for the Grand Geneva Say “I Do” Photo Contest.

We are from the Chicago suburbs and searched all over IL for the perfect location for our wedding. We wanted a winter wedding at a location that our guests could use as a mini vacation for themselves without having to travel far.  My family and I used to vacation at the Grand Geneva when I was growing up. Once my now husband and I started dating, we also frequented the Grand Geneva for special occasions and long weekend escapes.  We have always loved dining at the Grand Geneva and finishing up the evening relaxing in the lounge listening to the piano player and singers.  And because of this, this is one of our favorite wedding photos. It truly reminds us of all of our good memories at the Grand Geneva and that having our wedding there was the perfect choice.

We soon realized that the Grand Geneva provided the perfect venue for wedding since it was fully equipped with a spa, winter activities, many restaurant choices, and swimming pools.  We fully utilized the resort for the rehearsal dinner, Wedding Ceremony, Reception and even a breakfast in Brissago the following morning for all of our guests.  All of our friends and family still remark on what a wonderful wedding we had and what an amazing place the Grand Geneva Resort is.

We know have a 1 year old daughter and chose to spend her first New Year’s Eve celebrating at the Grand Geneva Resort.  We want to continue creating memories for years to come and on each visit reminiscing on what an amazing wedding we had there in 2007.
