Grand Geneva Say “I Do” Photo Contest: Dreams Do Come True

Jackie and her husband were married at the Grand Geneva Resort on September 6, 2009. The two worked hard to have their story book wedding at Grand Geneva come true. With the help of Marlene Minnich and her amazing staff, Jackie and her husband’s dream became a reality.

Their wedding day story:

My husband and I are going to be celebrating our one year wedding anniversary on September 6th. We got married at the Grand Geneva last year and had our story book wedding. We were living in Wisconsin the year before our wedding and spent several combined months unemployed or working part time hours for little pay but we were determined to pull off our dream wedding since we are only going to have one. We had an amazing experience dealing with the staff and especially with Marlene Minnich who helped us every step along the way. During a year of hard times and uncertainty my husband and I came together to make it the best day that we possibly could for ourselves as well as our family and friends. Our day went so well, from the moment I walked outside for the ceremony and saw my future husband standing there waiting for me against the beautiful landscape all the way through the delicious dinner and our fun- filled reception that had everyone dancing all night. We were so unsure on how to make it a memorable event that we could tell our kids and grandkids about years from now and the Grand Geneva came through to make that happen for us. We would love to revisit there this year and relive that wonderful day.
