Melissa & Tim

It has been almost three years since our Grand Geneva wedding on September 8, sales 2007 and it truly was a magical weekend that we would love the opportunity to celebrate again! When we were planning our wedding, one of the first aspects my husband and I agreed upon was the desire to have a unique wedding, which we found with Grand Geneva. We wanted to be able to have more than just a reception at a hall, purchase but a chance for our guests to have a weekend getaway.

Our wedding weekend was truly a “grand” experience. Grand Geneva worked with us every step of the way to make sure all details was in order and that our day was unique to us. We loved that Grand Geneva could provide everything we could want for our wedding including use of the Trolley for transporting the bridal party, dancing at the club the night before the wedding, the boys being able to unwind by golfing before the ceremony, the girls enjoying make up at the spa, the pictures on the grounds, our ceremony in the Pavilion, cocktails on the Terrace, our reception in the Evergreen Ballroom, and the Sunday Brunch. It was all wonderful! We truly loved our day because of all the special touches that started the first day of our new life together and it was the day we both had dreamed about.

About 18 months after we were married, in March 2009, we returned to Grand Geneva to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted to return on our actual anniversary, but life is busy, and it can be hard to take a step back and just relax. When we checked in, we felt like we were back in the same magical place. We were greeted by the front desk staff and wished a happy anniversary. We considered ourselves blessed that we could walk around the grounds to where we had all our wedding events and reminisce about all the wonderful memories. On that early spring day, Tim and I talked about wanting to make it a tradition to keep visiting Grand Geneva and take the same walk and someday share the stories with our children.

As it turns out, 9 months later, we welcomed our daughter Miranda Lynn, into our lives and would love the opportunity to take our “grand” baby around Grand Geneva and share with her all the special stories of our wedding at Grand Geneva. Looking back, we are especially grateful we chose such a unique location. Given the recent loss of our father this past May, it makes us truly treasure our grand wedding weekend at Grand Geneva. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but to us, the pictures will allow us not only to remember one of the most important days of our lives, but more importantly, celebrate the people who shared our special day with us in such a beautiful place. We would love nothing more than another opportunity to visit Grand Geneva and embrace the memories of one of the most special days of our lives.
