Grand Geneva Say “I Do” Photo Contest – Rob & Denise – Absolutely Breathtaking

Rob and Denise were married at the Grand Geneva Resort on September 26, 2009.

Here is their story and photo submission for the Grand Geneva Say “I Do” Photo Contest.

Rob and I, after being together for 14 years, married on September 26, 2009 at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa.  We chose the Grand Geneva for its spectacular grounds, great location and attentive staff.  We’ve stayed at the Resort many times over the past years and have always enjoyed the high class surroundings with a relaxing atmosphere.  For our wedding day, we wanted something different, yet special, and especially wanted to get married outside.  The Resort’s breathtaking views provided an excellent backdrop as we said our wedding vows.  The weather the day before our wedding was rainy and cloudy and we were worried we would have to move our ceremony and cocktail reception indoors.  But the weather cooperated and we had the most stunning ceremony outdoors overlooking the golf course.  Following the ceremony we had a cocktail reception on the lawn adjacent to the pool; the tall high boy tables, bar service and butler passed hors d’oeuvres were the perfect transition before moving inside.  The Maple Room Ballroom was absolutely breathtaking and we couldn’t believe how beautiful the table settings looked.  When the waiters came out to start serving dinner and started with our table, we were amazed and delighted at the presentation of each course.  The Grand Geneva continued to surprise us with their service throughout the weekend.   All of the hard decisions we had to make prior to that day had really paid off!  The day ended with all of our friends and family dancing in a circle around us to the Piano Man by Billy Joel; the love and friendship we felt that day and at that moment will carry us through the rest of our lives.
