08 Apr, 2014

Last week, Discover Wisconsin included us in a great post 6 Ideas for a Girls’ Getaway in Wisconsin, on their blog, The Bobber. With Lake Geneva Women’s Weekend right around the corner we were inspired us to create a list of our own. So without further ado, here are 5 tips and tricks for the Ultimate Girls’ Getaway at Grand Geneva.

Tip #1: Unwind with a trip to the WELL Spa + Salon – It’s about time you escape those tensions and reclaim a sense of physical and mental harmony. Put away all of life’s cares and surrender to the healing power of the Relax Me Massage or grab the girls and head over for the signature WELL Spa Pedicure .
Insider Trick: Take advantage of seasonal specials and book during a low occupancy time. The Spring Spa Specials are available Sunday – Thursday until May 23rd.

Tip #2: Get Fancy and Wine and Dine at Ristorante Brissago – With a warm and inviting atmosphere, Ristorante Brissago takes the dining experience to a new level. Fresh ingredients mixed with regionally made pastas, cheese, prosciutto and olive oils make dining at OpenTable.com’s 2014 Diners’ Choice winner and unforgettable experience.
Insider Trick:  The menu can be confusing, especially if you don’t speak Italian, ask your server for explanations and recommendations they are extensively trained and have a vast knowledge of the wine list to make some expert pairings. Reservations are always recommended, make yours here.

Tip #3: Sweat away those calories from last nights’ dessert at a fitness class or on the climbing wall – While some like to throw exercise out the window when they are on vacation, the WELL Spa + Salon + Fitness center has some fun ways of getting in a work-out without even realizing it. Check out one of the many fitness classes like Body Flow/Yoga, which will leave you energized and ready to conquer the day. Or challenge yourself on the 35′ indoor climbing wall, with 12 separate routs ranging from beginner to advanced.
Insider Trick: Maximize your climb time and book an hour of climbing for up to 6 people for just $50. Make a reservation early to guarantee the best climb times at 262-249-4750.

Tip #4: Get some retail therapy in downtown Lake Geneva – It won’t be hard to find something for everyone on your gift list with specialty shops ranging from antiques to spices and coffee to shoes. You’ll want to allow plenty of time to explore every nook and cranny of downtown.
Insider Trick: Use some community resources like lakegenevawi.com to find exactly what you’re looking for.

Tip #5: Let loose with an adult beverage – You can become a master of mixology without even leaving the Grand Geneva property, sample some local brews at Geneva Lake Brewery or let Studio Winery introduce you to 5 new, locally made wines. The Grand Experience team puts together a weekly list of Lake Geneva attractions, events and activities for you to participate in during your stay. Call our Experience Desk at 262-248-8811 for more information or to reserve your spot.
Insider Trick: Don’t worry about sampling a little too much wine, we’ll drive! Book a tour of the Geneva Lake Brewery or Studio Winery with the Grand Experiences Team and we’ve got you covered.

Thanks for mentioning Studio Winery! I just wanted to let you know that in 2017, we are up to 20 wines all made just down the street 🙂

    Cheers! Kathy
