A Taste of Italy

Brissago is a small resort town located at the far reaches of Northwest Italy approximately 65 miles from Milan and found nestled in the shadows of the Swiss Alps quietly perched on the edges of Lake Maggiore. It is the namesake of our most romantic, fine dining, Northern Italian cuisine restaurant located on the upper level of the Grand Geneva, Ristorante Brissago.
Each Thursday, in our pursuit to showcase the restaurant’s wonderful cuisine, it’s intimate and comfortable setting, and the amazing tradition of Italian wine, Brissago opens its gates early to resort guests. Patrons enjoy a hosted hour or two of antipasto paired with a flight of expressive wine and friendly conversation about the culture and lifestyle of the region.
An Italian Table is all about sharing and enjoying the region’s seasonal offerings with family and friends. Upon your arrival, a platter of artisan-cured meats, freshly sliced thin and curled delicately on the white porcelain plate, are presented for passing. These include Toscano garlic-infused fennel-pollen salumi, 24 month-aged San Danielle Prosciutto, arguably the finest Italy produces, and Recla Speck, air-dried pork influenced by the micro-climate of the Dolomite Mountain region. Grana Padano cheese, eggplant caponata, gaeta and cerignola olives, and marinated artichokes accompanied by warm roast-garlic filone bread and focaccia from our wood-fired oven complete the offering.
A perfect start!
